Natural resources are those that have existed in nature since the beginning of time. These resources enable life to exist on Earth. Life on Earth would not be possible without natural resources like air, sunlight, and water. Other natural resources are equally important and have become a part of our daily lives.
Natural Resources Put to Use in a Variety of Ways
While natural resources meet man's and other living beings' basic needs, they also serve as the foundation for many other things. These things make life more convenient and comfortable. Man today cannot imagine his life without the majority of these. Here are some examples of how natural resources are used:
Sunlight: It is used to generate solar power, which is then used in a variety of appliances. Photosynthesis is also enabled by sunlight.
Wind energy: It is generated using air. Wind turbines are used to generate electricity. It is used for a variety of tasks, including grain grinding and water pumping.
Water: It is used to produce hydroelectric energy. It is also used for a variety of cleaning and cooking tasks.
Minerals: Minerals are used to create a variety of items that we use on a daily basis. Minerals are used to make a variety of products, including wires, aluminum cans, and automobile parts. Jewelry is made from minerals such as gold and silver.
Natural gas: It is used to generate electricity. These are also used in the kitchen to heat things up.
Coal: It is another natural resource that is used in the generation of electricity.
Plants: It provide a variety of natural resources such as wood, fruits, and vegetables. While fruits and vegetables are necessary for the survival of all living things, wood is used to make furniture, paper, and other products.
Animals: Animals provide a variety of natural resources. They supply milk, which is used to make curd, cheese, butter, and a variety of other dairy products. Animal fur and skin are also used to make a variety of clothing items and other necessities. Woollen sweaters and caps, leather belts and bags, silk saris and bed linens are among the products made from animal natural resources.
Natural Resource Types :-
Every natural resource has different categories and uses, but on a broad level, they are divided into two categories: renewable and non-renewable.
Renewable Natural Resources:-
These are natural resources that are abundant and easily replenished. Sunlight, water, air, soil, biomass, and wood are examples of these. However, some resources, such as wood and soil, take time to regenerate.
Furthermore, they are derived from both living and non-living things. Organic renewable resources are those derived from living things, while inorganic renewable resources are those derived from non-living things.
Non-Renewable Natural Resources:-
As the name implies, these resources do not renew themselves as easily as renewable resources do. They also take a long time to regenerate. Coal, petroleum, natural gas, and other resources fall into this category.
Furthermore, we divided them into two categories: organic and inorganic. Organic non-renewable resources, such as fossil fuel, are formed from the dead bodies of living things. Inorganic non-renewable resources are formed by non-living things such as wind, minerals, soil, and land.
Natural resources are unevenly distributed on the earth's surface. Furthermore, different regions of the surface are rich in various minerals or natural resources. While there are areas that receive a lot of sunlight, there are also areas that get very little.
Similarly, some areas are rich in water, while others are rich in minerals. The primary factors influencing the uneven distribution of resources are land type and climate. This unequal distribution is the primary link that connects and facilitates international trade between countries. Furthermore, it has some negative consequences because countries rich in fossil fuels control and exploit the market, as do other countries that rely on them for fuel supply. As a result, rich countries become richer while poor countries become poorer.
To summarize, the earth has a large stock of natural resources, and if we use them sustainably, we can easily save them as well as the planet for some time until we completely switch to renewable resources. This will also help to reduce our reliance on nonrenewable resources.

Thus, natural resources are useful not only in their raw form, but also when used to generate other things. Man has certainly made the best use of these resources to improve his life.
