Nepal is a landlocked country with a rich and diverse geography, culture, and religions. It is located in South Asia, on the lap of the Himalayas, surrounded by India to the east, south, and west, and China to the north. It covers an area of 147,516 square kilometers, is 193 kilometers wide from north to south, and 885 kilometers long from east to west. It has a wide range of geographical structures and a wealth of natural resources.
Nepal is divided into three geographical regions. The mountain, hilly, and Terai regions account for approximately 15%, 68%, and 17% of Nepal's total land area, respectively. Nepal is home to many snow-capped peaks. Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world, attracts thousands of tourists each year. Nepal is divided into seven administrative provinces, each of which is divided into 77 districts. Municipalities and rural municipalities are formed from the districts.
The magnificent mountains in the north, undulating slopes, passes, swift-flowing crystal-like rivers, lakes, valleys, tars, and so on are all attractive features that distinguish Nepal as a piece of heaven. It has long been a popular destination for foreign tourists. Mt. Everest, also known as the "Roof of the World," identifies Nepal around the world. We are famous all over the world for not only our natural heritage but also our cultural heritage. The major heritages on the World Heritage List, such as Lumbini, Chitwan National Park, Sagarmatha National Park, and many others, present us as prosperous people of small heaven. Furthermore, there are numerous temples, and Kathmandu is known as the city of temples.
It is the birthplace of many world-famous people. Prithivi Narayan Shah, the builder of modern unified Nepal, and Gautam Buddha, the preacher of peace and the founder of Buddhism. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the first person to reach the summit of Mt. Everest with Hilary, and others belonged to Nepal.
Not only them, but also brave soldiers like Bal Bhadra Kunwar, Amar Singh Thapa, Bhimsen Thapa, and others, had shown extraordinary bravery in preventing the British empire from colonizing Nepal.
Despite the fact that Nepal is a multilingual, multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious country, there has been no conflict between any groups over language, religion, or ethnicity. The Nepalese's unity among diversity demonstrates that they are cooperative and peace-loving.
Nepal, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, is located in the heart of Asia. Nepal's beauty defies description. We cannot adequately describe her no matter how much we try. The Almighty created her with care and intention. She appears to be happy. She is lying on the gentle lap of the Himalayas, which elicits strong emotions in us.
She has many unique characteristics. She has many mountains with various types of trees and bushes that are home to many birds and animals. The Himalayas are very high and snow-capped in the north. We are drawn to the scene of melting snow and piled snow. Many tourists visit to climb high mountains such as Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, and other. They call this slice of heaven a dreamland. They come to immerse themselves in the rivers of imagination in order to create their exotic creation.
Her Terai belt enhances her beauty. The greenery of crops in our vision is breathtaking. Our eyes never tire of looking at them. The Terai belt, like the Churia range belt, is densely forested. The main attractions are Chitwan National Park, Bardia National Park, and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. We come across a variety of wildlife. Nepal has beautiful landscapes, lakes, rivers, glaciers, and resorts.
Nepal has a diverse national and cultural heritage. Many temples, stupas, monasteries, Kurtis, water spouts (Dundas), statues, and idols of Gods and Goddesses can be found here. They are densely packed with art and architecture. Although Hinduism is the most common religion, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Jainism, and Shikhism are also practiced. Great souls such as Janak, Buddh, Sita, Bhrikuti, Shiva, Parvati, Bal Gura Khadanand, Prithvi Narayan Shah, Laxmi Prasad Devkota, Pushpa Lal, Ganesh man, and others lived here and greatly contributed to her development.
Nepal was declared a zone of peace by our late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. This has also enhanced her beauty. Gorkhalies are well-known throughout the world.
