Unfortunate and unexpected events are referred to as disasters. A natural disaster is a sudden destruction caused by a landslide, flood, earthquake, or other natural occurrence. Continuous rain causes flooding and landslides. Earthquakes and volcanoes are unanticipated events. Such natural disasters are unavoidable. We occasionally hear tragic news about the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in various parts of the world. In such a disaster, either the entire family is affected or tragically separated.
Natural disasters are caused by a variety of factors. Many of them are entirely natural. Internal natural laws cause earthquakes and volcanoes to occur. Man cannot know what will happen before it happens, nor can it stop it. As a result, there is little that can be done about earthquakes and volcanoes. However, floods and disasters are also caused by human error. When the natural balance is upset, one region receives a lot of rain while another receives none. Aside from these, there are epidemics and other diseases caused by humans. All of these disasters, however, can be less devastating if they are well managed. Even though we cannot prevent natural disasters, we can certainly reduce their impact. Recently, there have been many flood victims in Nepal. The landslides have buried hundreds of people. Many of them perished in the floodwaters. Some of the survivors died later because they received no assistance from the government or the community. The government and others have made efforts to assist flood victims. But they are insufficient; something more must be done.
The Influence of Human Activities on Natural Disasters
Every year, various types of natural disasters have an impact on the lives of thousands of people. Only a few of them have the strength to "bounce back" with the help of their community and family, whereas others require additional support to cope and excel on the road to recovery.
According to estimates, one of the primary causes of natural disasters is the rapid growth of modernization. As a result, people have neglected the environment. The more the environment is ignored, the more damage it does to the environment. Natural disasters are an example of this. Natural disasters are primarily caused by poor management of water and land resources, as well as global warming.
Global warming is a phenomenon in which the temperatures of the atmosphere and oceans rise, resulting in a variety of intense storms. Floods and hurricanes are examples of natural disasters. This causes significant losses in terms of human and property life.

Another human activity that contributes to the occurrence of natural disasters is unplanned urbanization. It is currently at its peak. Nobody cares about the environmental dangers, and everyone is too busy making more and more money. Because of massive constructions in flood-prone areas, the likelihood of villages and towns being affected by coastal floods and flash floods has increased. The environment is being harmed as human greed grows and laws governing environmental protection are disregarded. Water and air pollution have resulted from the rapid growth of industrialization. Though laws govern waste treatment prior to disposal into the environment, industries frequently disregard them for their own personal gain. Furthermore, authorities are hesitant to take immediate action to punish the perpetrators.
Rapid construction has resulted in large areas of land being covered with cement. This means that the water flow has become very strong, and because it cannot be absorbed by the soil, it collects in the soil. When this happens at a faster rate, it leads to larger floods. Not everyone is ignorant and careless about the environment. There are a few percentages of environmentally conscious people who are deeply concerned about its issues and make concerted efforts to address them on a large scale. There are several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and communities that work to raise environmental awareness and spread the harmful effects of pollution and malpractice.
All of this is detrimental to the environment. Several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are even holding public rallies to raise awareness about global warming and pollution. They organize a number of campaigns and initiatives to aid in the preservation of the environment.
