Money: Its Uses and Abuses(700 words)

Money has been defined in a variety of ways. Economists such as Marshall, Robbins, J.S. Mill, and others defined it in their own words, but money is what money does. Nobody in the world is self-sufficient.
Money is the most basic need of life, without which one cannot imagine living a healthy and peaceful life. Even buying a small needle requires money. In the modern era, where civilization is rapidly expanding and Western culture is dominating, we require more money due to rising commodity prices. Previously, there was a system called barter in which one could exchange things for goods; however, in the modern era, one only needs money to buy everything.

Money is becoming increasingly important as the cost of living rises. Money's importance has grown significantly in the fields of production, consumption, exchange, distribution, public finance, and so on. It is extremely important in determining input, income, employment, output, general price level, and so on. People get what they require from others. The same is true for all human lings. Some people use a barter system. However, this barter system is limited. So, in order to advance in life, man employs money to serve his purpose. Today, money is the most useful article for humans. Our requirements are numerous. The items we require are obtained from various sources. Every day, we require numerous items. We also require the services of a barber, tailor, cobbler, doctor, lawyer, and owner of a rickshaw or bus. We need money for this. We require it every day and at all times. Today, life is impossible without money. We can't do anything unless we have money. Money buys life's necessities as well as items of luxury and comfort. It can even buy you respect. The government requires funds to function.

Some men have a malicious mind. Not all men are happy and content. Money is used for many evil purposes by a bad man. Money is the source of all sins. Women are paid to sell their bodies. Men work and commit the most heinous crimes for money. A saboteur sells national security secrets to an enemy country. However, not all financial mismanagement is sinful or criminal. It is abused in numerous ways for which no man can be punished. The worst misuse of money is for the luxury of some when most men are hungry. Those with money can either force or persuade others to do wrong. There is no doubt that money is critical to our well-being. Money is almost everything for us to live a normal life and maintain our social standing. It is money that satisfies the need for life's necessary comforts and amenities. If one has money, he or she can obtain anything in life. It is money that assists us in developing a good personality, increasing confidence, making us creditworthy, increasing capacity, increasing capabilities, and enhancing our courage to a great extent. We feel helpless and alone in this world where no one is willing to help and assist us without money. Money is a very important and powerful thing in today's materialistic world, without which one cannot exist.

Nowadays, in order to make more money in the wrong ways, bad people resort to corruption, bribery, smuggling, murdering wealthy members of society, and other heinous acts that degrade humanity's moral and ethical values. Lazy people use the wrong methods to make money because they believe they are simple and easy, but this is not the case. One can earn more money in less time and effort, but only for a short time; he will surely be lost in the near future because he is taking the wrong and weak path. People who earn money by following all of humanity's rules earn less money but for a longer period of time, and they become high-status members of society.

People who commit corruption save their money in other countries as black money to keep it hidden from the general public and use it for bad works or to increase their physical luxury. However, common people in society have a lot of respect for people who make money through illegal means because they are afraid of them and a little greedy that they can get some money in return whenever they need it by showing them respect. They are commonly referred to as the Bhai, Dada, or Don. Money cannot buy or keep time, nor can it provide true love and care, but it is essential for all of us to live our lives on the right track. It cannot provide time or love, but it can provide happiness, and so on.
